PACE Youth Program - Intervention Services
PACE Youth Program provides life-skills training to adjudicated youth, giving them an opportunity to complete their term of probation in the community, while providing the necessary training. We work with adjudicated youth by providing the necessary skills that enhance (P)roper self-image, (A)cademics, (C)haracter and (E)mployment, and encourage an attitude to become productive members of society.
PACE offers a 12-week life skills program, where youth and their parents meet separately with professional instructors and counselors, participating in various services including:
- Educational training
- Group and individual counseling
- Asset development
- Employment readiness training
The curriculum includes interactive training and discussions about:
- Anger management
- Character development
- Dealing with obstacles
- Decision making/problem solving
- Effective communication
- Goal setting
- Drug awareness
- Sexually transmitted diseases
Fun and fellowship
PACE offers dinner for the youth and parents before each meeting, and also incorporates field trips, music, and games into the program. Volunteers include coaches and leaders with successful careers and families, who demonstrate by example–showing the value of being successful in the community.

PACE Youth Program – Parent Services
The goal of PACE for parents is to give parents tangible and useful tools to utilize in their everyday lives. As part of the 12-week program, PACE supports parents and helps parents and youth through dynamic interactive experiences that help change unhealthy mindsets and values by practicing exercises designed to affirm self-worth and improve communication between youth and parent. Additionally, PACE helps parents develop skills that help them raise positive productive citizens. PACE provides parents with information on self-esteem, anger management, discipline and communication.
PACE understands that the parent/child relationship is affected greatly when a teen is involved with the juvenile justice system. We strive to educate parents on how to structure their environments, to aide to their teen and create a positive learning structures, with the modeling of appropriate behaviors. Our theme is to “Provide Positive Parenting to Produce Productive People.”
The program allows parents and youth to bond again and lift self-esteem, but it also takes youth and parents through learning experiences that build character and demonstrate problem-solving between them. Each week parents and youth are challenged and encouraged to return to class with feedback to share with others. Meals are provided weekly.
Our investment in our community is to better equip parents and to expand their capacity for parenting, which ultimately enhances our community and society.
